Please join the Department of Natural
Resources as we recognize Georgia's Natural Leaders -
highly-effective organizations leading the way to
environmental excellence. Spend the morning learning from
members of the Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia, as
they share different perspectives on conserving Georgia's
natural resources while facing today's business challenges.
During lunch, help us recognize the 2010 accomplishments of
the Partners, and winners of the 2010 Conserve Georgia
Awards with Commissioner Chris Clark.
Launched by Governor Perdue in 2008, Conserve Georgia is a partnership of Georgia's government agencies, residents, businesses, institutions, and non-profit organizations working together to make Georgia's natural resources more sustainable. Applications for the 2010 Conserve Georgia Awards are available at Conserve Georgia. The deadline for submissions is August 30th, 2010.
The Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia
assists Georgia businesses in using continuous improvement tools to reach better environmental results and a better bottom line. It provides Partners free assistance, opportunities to connect with other leaders, and recognition for sustainability efforts. The program is free and open to any business or organization that operates in Georgia, and is operated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Sustainability Division.
